I have been desperately fighting my subhuman skin texture for the last few weeks. I am not an acnecel but have shit tone/texture and I'm doing everything to combat it (retinoids, exfoliating, scrubs, masks, makeup). I'm probably going to need multiple treatments of laser resurfacing and microneedling to get super clear skin sooner or later. I was cursed with this subhuman skin and it's not really noticeable unless in really bright lighting, which I avoid. In pics with others outside at a friend's house earlier at like 9:30 PM I like pretty good and like a 5 or 5.5 PSL or maybe better -- but if I open my front cam in like a supermarket with huge overhead lighting I look subhuman as hell. I think it might have to do with distortion or camera type because my tablet at the same distance I look much more similar to 5+ feet photographs taken.
Anybody know why this is? My smartphone picks up my skin flaws and makes my face look narrow as fuck, but my tablet is more videoing like a photo and my face looks more like how it does IRL
I think it's selfie or close-up distortion and exaggeration which might explain the skin, because nobody ever mentions anything about my skin in person -- even people I know who wouldn't keep their mouth shut. But it's like a curse. I'm dying for the day I can finally take a selfie in super bright lighting and have model-tier skin without filters/shit. It's a pain and angers me, but at least there's hope I can improve my skin within the next few months. Like if I put one filter and mask my shit skin tone I look 3x better.
I just feel subhuman as hell because I wonder if anyone else is picking up on my flaws and spend forever videoing/looking in the mirror and wash my face 10x. Skin is my biggest curse and I think anyone with shit skin is like me is 1 point behind at least should they fix it
