Today I was researching theories on evolutionary origins of human emotions.
I made queries like "evolutionary psychology of awe" and "evolutionary psychology theory of emotion". I got in the high-ranking results a PsychologyToday blog post "Combating the Misuse of Evolutionary Psychology Research" which prominently mentions the manosphere and incels. Then later a research paper "Fatalism, Evolution, and Interpersonal Attractiveness: Psychological Theories and Emotions in Incels' Constructions of Ingroup Identity and Outgroup Hate". Only below results like these (and ads) come results relevant to my queries.
I've been using the forum and making incel-related queries in InPrivate. Now I see this is of no use. Perhaps my phone has automatically taken info from keyboard use patterns and matched me to a specific persona. Then my search queries had keywords injected into them, or results were filtered according to the keywords, leading to such anti-incel results.
