My roommates boyfriend is antisemitic, racist, and told me the holocaust isn’t real
When I first moved into my apartment all my roommates were great. We all are 18F and each have our own rooms. Everything is great and they are all clean. Except my one roommate has a boyfriend (18M) who told me he doesn’t believe in the holocaust. I’m a polysci major and was a little offended to hear him say that. History means a lot to me and so when I asked him why he thought that he told me he believed it was propaganda to make Americans sympathize with Jews. I’ve also heard him say the n word (he is very much white) and say other racist things. Other than that he’s a very nice person and my roommate seems to like him a lot i just can’t comprehend someone that doesn’t believe mass genocide occurred. I really wish I was making this up.

Edit: when I say “otherwise he’s nice” I mean that he’s helpful and cleans up after himself but I don’t think that excuses any of his opinions or behavior. Also my roommate that is dating him is a history major so I’m not sure how she’s putting up with this.

Also I live off campus in an apartment with three other girls. My lease is up at the end of the spring semester and I’m not sure if I want to try and sell my lease now or just wait until the end of the year. I mostly stay in my room with my boyfriend and try not to converse with holocaust denier or his friends

Edit 2: thank you guys for all your input I had no clue this would blow up like this. I’m glad my feelings are validated. I’m not going to respond with violence or try to argue. Most likely he’s an idiot and a jerk that doesn’t understand the weight of what he’s saying. I’m going to get new roommates next year but for now I’m just going to stay in my room when he or his friends are over and if he ever says anything aggressive to me or my other roommates I’ll report it to my landlord and talk to my roommate about it.
