Same when it comes to jobs. Plenty of people who haven't had to find a job since the Carter administration think you can get a job by walking into somewhere and asking for it. They also think a university education is worth fuck all these days. I also love the stories about how "i supported myself by working part time in a bakery for *insert seemingly minimal amount here*" then you put whatever it is into inflation adjustment and its like double or triple what the current minimum wage is. Not to mention back then a few weeks of summer work could pay a years tuition. My uncle got a grant to go to university back in the 60's.
