I just heard for the first time from my mom, that my dad maybe wants to divorce. Apparently for a few years now.

I knew things weren't going amazing between them lately, but I didn't know it was that bad.
We were supposed to eat dinner with the family later, but my dad just left town randomly, saying he was going to get chinese food. But he just texted that he was out of town (not getting chinese food)

I don't know what to do now..

It’s been 11 years since I moved away from my dad, I rarely see him except for holidays and I have only 2 years left until his house is sorted and I can move in with him.

Try and talk to your dad and ask him what the issue is and try and get around it. Theres always a way for it to get better. Maybe marriage therapy?

tell him to get a grip in all fairness, if he can’t deal with a relationship then he shouldn’t be too proud to get help. Maybe say it in a more soft/less critical way though

Well, sometimes I do feel like it is. I have to admit i'm pretty distant with my dad. I don't hate him or anything, i'm just not as close with him compared to my mom.

But w/e. I just took a xanax to relax a bit. probably gonna log off for a few days.
