i used to hate that, then my parents cocooned completely and we never had any guests over, that was bad even if i wouldn't admit it

my friend from highschool told me he got invited over to some family friends that had a daughter and the parents told him and the daughter to run along and play, and then she literally told him "i'm bored, kiss me".

that's what normality looks like, not being cocooned and enmeshed and smelling your parents farts all the time
