Brutal My external storage for Xbox stopped working

Out if nowhere it stopped working. At first I couldn't open games stored on it so I tried restarting my Xbox thinking it was the games. Then the drive wouldn't appear. Now it doesn't work. All the spaces I had on that drive (mainly minecraft worlds. Everything else will be on the cloud) is gone. And now I need to buy another external storage to have more then 4 games on my Xbox

I also lost all my data (10 years) from my laptop in October because of a HDD malfunction.

Use cloud or an external hard drive, they are very useful.
