so I was at my parents house and my dad literally pulled me aside to his bedroom and said “son, I have to ask. Have you had sex yet? You never brought a girl back to our house in ur childhood, while your sisters were constantly bringing boys here. I just have to check in to see, do you have a girlfriend yet” and I got really scared so I said I was remaining celibate because I was Buddhist.. (i am not Buddhist if it wasn’t clear). He looked suprised and said “oh, I remember u used to talk about Buddhism in ur childhood, I never thought you would actually be Buddhist. Well, even though I don’t believe in Buddhism I’m not gonna force you to be atheist like me.”. It was really awkward and he brought it up while everyone was talking and I had to make up a bunch of bullshit about Buddhism because they kept asking me about it. I ended up making an excuse and leaving.
