Serious My computer got hacked

I downloaded a sketchy program from the internet that I thought was safe, until it wasn't.

5 minutes later my computer's cursor starts moving about on its own, and suspecting I got remote connected, I turn off the router.

I shut down the computer and the guy was still trying to access my files. In the end I was fighting for control of the mouse and deleted the program.

Scared the fuck out of me. Computer viruses ain't what they used to be back in 2012.

I had a problem similar except it was an automated mouse mover and clicker that records your mouse’s movements and replays them. I was trying to use it to create an infinite loop and postmaxx in the sewers but the program was a laggy piece of shit that shut my PC off by itself and didn’t do a great job with repeating itself

I remember my laptop got hacked when I was 13-14 and thought my courser was broken JFL

Glad I use linux and don't have to worry about much issues of getting hacked via my desktop
