I'm autistic and my autism caused me to listen to music bands for the first time as a grown man everyone else listened to as teenagers. My autism caused me not to listen to music the during the ages when other people were listening to different music. I was 28 when I first started listening to heavy metal when everyone else who likes metal started listening to metal when they were young children. I didn't listen to full albums when I was a teenager and albums are for teenagers. I didn't listen to Nirvana until I was 35 and Nirvana is for teenagers. I was 35 when I listened to Nevermind by Nirvana for the first time ever and everyone else had an awesome teenage years listening to Nevermind by Nirvana. I was 40 when I became a first time fan of Oasis and I listened to Definitely Maybe for the first ever time at 40 and Definitely Maybe by Oasis is for teenagers. I've spent my adult life trying to listen to the music everyone else enjoyed as teenagers and if I didn't listen to these bands as a teenager then listening to them for the first time as an adult is not the same. I'm now 41 and I only recently started to listen to Blink 182 for the first ever time.
