They have a slightly better catalogue but the peak of megadeth mogs the peak of metallica
Metallica by far has more relatable songs for me, all the rebellious anger and frustration, i can't tell you about what Megadeth (or Dave Mustaine's ego project) songs are about. Metallica first 4 albums are masterpieces, while black album is good itself it all went down the hill after that. Megadeth peaked with Rust in Peace imo. For me Megadeth is more consitenly good, while Metallica after Black album is the shadow of thier former self, but overall megadeth never reached the hieghts of those first 4 albums of Metallica.
