If you've ever interacted with normies you've probably encountered what I call the "It serves a purpose theory" which consists of saying that something that is overall bad is good because there is something good to It
For example: "Bullying is actually good because it helps you become stronger" or "being ugly is good because people wont use you for your looks"

Well normies, using your logic let me name something that serves a purpose. School shootings. They make bullies afraid of bullying, because the bullied kid may act up.
