What mouse grip do you use?
I have always used the claw grip(without palm being in contact with the mouse) because i used to use a very small mouse. Even when i upgraded to a bigger mouse i continued using the same grip. But it was hard to keep playing with it for extended durations since my hand would hurt a bit. It was just not very comfortable to hold the mouse. Also i would often hyper fixate on my gripping and it would always feel different every time i would hold the mouse. If i was feeling good about my grip a particular day i would hit my shots while other days i wouldn't aim so well. I did try the palm grip in the past but it felt so awkward since i had never used it before. So i instantly went back to holding the mouse my way.
Fast forward to 3-4 days ago. I tried the palm grip again but this time for god knows what reason i felt right at home. Not only was it super comfortable i felt so good moving in game. I was able to aim well too. But this phase only lasted a day. I suddenly couldn't hit anything. So i attributed the improvement in my gameplay the previous day to just placebo. Palm grip was very hard to aim with. Defeated i went back to my old grip. But i wasn't happy with all that happened. I tried the palm grip again yesteday but with lowered sensitivity and Voila! i was aiming as good as i have ever done. And i have played enough with it to say that, no it isn't just my mind playing tricks on me. I am really playing better with it. It's super comfortable and feels really good.
