At the Mental Hospital we had a community patch for growing vegetables . I saw these as my family i never will have so i lovingly attended to their every needs . We grew planted eggplants, strawberry, onion, cucumbers and cos lettuces depending on the season .
For self harm and security reason most garden tools were banned . I was promoted to be in charge of the compost and horse manure fertiliser for the patch .My children were so proud of my promotion . Especially the eggplants they were so proud of their dad .
I admit they were my favorite and they knew it so i read them stories and played music so they would grow up to be strong & healthily without being ill like me. In fact it turns out the biggest enemy was the slugs who i had a endless battle with as they seem hellbent on eating my children but most of all i am still haunted by the cries of the eggplants screaming '' Dad please help me " as my fellow shczio picked them to be eaten.

There are some things that can be 'triggering' (I personally hate this term so I try not to use it) but i have to learn to turn away from them and not let ourselves be consumed by them. For example, I stay away from the debate section because I'd disagree with much of what is said in there and a lot that I do see I want to answer and give another point of view, but that only opens a can of worms, so I've learned to walk away and leave them to it. I never really go in there anymore, which is sad because debate is supposed to be a two way street not a one way street, but that's what it has become in the modern age: there's what is considered right and what is considered wrong. Anyway, I digress...
I try not to let things get to me and when they do, i recognise that it is detrimental and walk away, at least temporarily. Take care of yourself, that's more important than responding to certain things on a forum, remember that .
