The same pattern holds true for ALL the major elections in the last few years. The political differences between men and women of the same race are GREATLY exaggerated. If only white men had voted in Germany, Merkel would still be German chancellor. If only white men had voted in France, Macron would still be French President. If only white women had voted in the UK, Brexit would still have won. The ONLY exception to this rule seems to Austria were a huge majority of young men voted for the right-wing candidate while a huge majority of young women voted for the liberal candidate. 

And to come back to the US: if only white women had voted in 2012, Romney, not Obama, would have been President. And if only white women had voted in 2008, McCain, not Obama would have been President.
