For them, it's okay if everything they have is based on immediate pleasures, y'know: consumerism, sex, taste, drinking, experiences...
But many people are not satisfied with this kind of cattle life, they want something really creative that gives greater value to their life, they want something a step beyond this primary level of existence...
But that's where the problem lies, to have this you need genetics + opportunities, things that not everyone has.
Some people will have opportunities but will suffer the disappointment of lacking the necessary talent, others will have talent but will lack the necessary opportunities...
A balance between both is necessary to be able to enter this high-value life of your dreams.
However, I say that genetics is even more important because nowadays the internet provides many opportunities for talented people.
Still, the work of opportunities and one's own talent done early on is also a game changer, things that only the upper class has, for example a lower middle class musician from a third world country and a musician of the same class but from a first world country with the same talent level, the latter will have the advantage of having studied music since primary school in public schools, while the latter had to work to get his instrument.
It's brutal to see how life is a rigged game from the moment you're born, it's simply an injustice, it's demonic to sell the idea of equality, something worse than slavery, selling illusion of dreams to profit on it.
tldr: meritocracy doesn't exist, it's all genetics... water.
OVER.
