Most of the WW2 veterans I knew growing up didn't seem to hate Nazis all that much

The majority I met had an obsession with weapons, boats, planes and military gear. They seemed to reminisce over the war more than go on about how evil the nazis were. I remember when my dad and I were visiting our veteran neighbor, my dad tried to bring up the Holocaust, this guy said "oh yeah, that was bad" and then started talking about German tanks.

Yes. Most men in the USA didn't even want to go to war against Germany. There was more hatred directed towards the Japanese.

I do notice that veterans who fought in interracial wars tend to have less respect and more hatred towards their enemies than ones who fought in wars like WW2. I do remember some veterans who fought in the Korean war and Vietnam war joking about killing gooks and the like.

I’ve never had, but I am certain that I’ve seen some IRL.

I’ve seen plenty of Vietnam vets but I can’t really remember seeing any WW2 vets.

in countries where the propaganda doesnt exist, they literally dont give a fuck. If ww2 wasnt kept alive through perpetual propaganda spam for last 70 years, it would have faded away into history after 2-3 generations. For example go to any SEA countires where they dont speak english, they literally dont give a fuck, they name their kids hitler and call him a great statesman. Another example, in asia they havent been bombarded with the anti semitism brain virus for decades. So what happened was that chinks and japanese independently noticed jews being everywhere in power. But because they hadnt been programmed to stop themselves from drawing obvious conclusion, they just thought OOH OHHH JEW-SAMA SO SMART OOH YES and literally write self help books like "how to be jew" or "the jewish way of doing business" - they view them as smart and crafty. Another thing not often talked about is how chinese parents will ask their dauther if their white bf is jewish, like "oooo is he re jeweww ching chong ding dong???"
