The problem with accepting incelom is the semantic implication of absoluteness, as if you had completely put your entire being into seeking sex and failed. Not embracing 'involuntarily' in entirety is simply acknowledging you may have held something back because the ascension that might be rarely feasible might not be entirely motivating.

I think that's why "nearcel" appeals as an interesting compromises, though I'd term it 'nearinvol' to avoid confusion.

"nearly involuntary" acknowledges there's some voluntary aspect which you did not commit to the pursuit, that you lack absolute knowledge of what could have been had you tried just 1% harder.
