Serious Most important lesson I have learned about human nature: People should not be so free to do as they like, because their choices harm them and society.

I should point out up front that freedom is a wonderful device on the condition that it has restrictions. We are dependent on freedom of speech to come up with new solutions and weed out bad ideas, for example.

However, liberty can be dangerous when it is unrestricted because individuals and groups often make decisions that harm their lives and those of people around them.

Every smoker knows there is a risk of developing lung cancer, but the mere knowledge of it means nothing because he or she will not quit smoking. The same can be said about alcoholic people. Or pornography addicts. Human nature is flawed and therefore humans cannot be trusted to make good decisions for themselves in some cases.

That inevitably leads to women and their constant demands. Their interests are fickle. Women's unhappiness declined with the advent of feminism. Because of their hypergamous nature, women go after men that are superior to them in a physical, financial, educational, and political sense.

Now that women have managed to equalize the financial, educational, and political field, almost no man is good enough for them in that sense, so their newest target is men that are pleasing to the eyes; Chads. Women are never going to be satisfied regardless of what is given to them, so why society keeps catering to their needs?

The solution is to stop giving people what they want, women in particular. We live in hedonistic times when feeling good is more important than doing the right thing. That is the symptom of a dying civilization. We should be focused on restricting people's liberty and tracing the right path they ought to walk down.

I dislike the libertarian idea that liberty should be unrestricted, because human nature is flawed and therefore we are inclined to make decisions that harm ourselves and others around us. That is why some kind of power should trace the right path for people to walk down. I use women as the example because they have been handed pretty much all the liberty they could ask for, and now they are destroying themselves because of it. Clearly, unrestricted liberty is not what we need.

only men should be free to do what they want

High IQ thread

If the social contract isn't working, then it's a decayed society.
If a so-called 'society' cannot protect its members from bullying at school or even at work, then such society is not worth participating in.
