Ah, i remember that. Got to about 40 degrees celcius here in bongland last summer. No air con, and houses are not designed with those temps in mind. Not pleasant.

We should really buy portable aircon units now whilst nobody wants them, all we really need is a cool place to sleep and retreat to for a few days a year. I had doors and windows closed, curtains drawn and paper stuck to other windows yet the house still shot to 30c as soon as the sun came up and took an age to cool down to mid 20's at night. I said fuck it and went and slept on the patio seating, wasn't too bad with earplugs to block out the dawn chorus.
