Discussion most autistic cels I see here seem completely normal to me

I don't know why but most of you autistic guys here don't seem autistic to me. Not only here, TFL autistic vloggers on youtube as well, they don't look autistic, they look normal, they act normal.

I have two autistic relatives and they're very weird, borderline retarded. Not in the logical reasoning sense but rather in the way they interact with people, things they say, they do etc. Do you guys know the movie "mercury rising" with bruce willis? They're like that kid in the movie. Not retarded per se but retarded in a way.

And why there's so many diagnosed autistic people in the US? I barely see autistic people here, wasn't it supposed to be a rare disorder? I am under the impression that in america they diagnose everyone who is slightly introvert as autistic jfl.

It's probable that autism is over-diagnosed. Or that things which look like autism might be other developmental problems simply being labeled as autism.

Asperger Autist here. I act completely normal but i cant to things "normal" people would do easily. I hate that "meme" about being "so autistic". Kids today think its a funny thing to say. Example: Someone tries to be funny but makes a bad joke and then the people start saying that youre "so fucking autistic" even if you dont have it.

That's why autism exists on a spectrum, it's a range of social effectiveness. It's also the general divide between so-called "high functioning" and low functioning autism. And I've learned to "cover my tracks," so to speak, over the years. Self-taught, of course, all my therapists I've ever had were complete garbage.

It is much easier for an autist to text than speak. With texting or typing or whatever, I can sit and think about my reply as long as I like before sending it. None of the real time pressure exists with actually talking to people.

Yeah its a lot harder to tell over text, with text you can reread before sending or take your time to formulate a sentence, irl talking also includes body language, tone of voice, facial expressions etc. So its very easy to tell if someone is an autistic irl compared to over text.

I am diagnosed with autism, but I do not have that much problems because of it. I can act normal and socialize if I need to. I just generally prefer to be alone and do not want to share my life with others, which makes me very introverted. The only problem I have in my life is lack of sex, but that is because I am not Chad.

Some people have very weird writing paterns and react in a strange way when you dm them so I can reliably tell that a few are indeed on the spectrum, but for the most it is quite hard to tell.

I'm undiagonsed but what others are saying here and what I read online, does give me the sense that I'm on the spectrum of sorts, though I never thought of that to be the case considering whatever I say and write usually is normal for me but not understandable for others. Tbf I don't even know if I have some issue but I like to think that whatever it is doesn't burden me too much, even if the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

Would you consider someone like me still watching/playing pokemon and digimon as well as plays games like kingdom hearts, watches a lot of dark stuff online since as a child because of my own interest towards it and constantly shouts and yells at my parents for even the most minute thing autistic. If so then I still don't care.
