cost of ICU is about 8k per day. rather than having a cancer patient costing tons of $$$ in care and medicine, and eventually end up in icu, all of those could cost like 6 figure to support such patient.
instead, let patient pick euthanasia. the patient gonna have to see 2-3 professionals to get it approved as this procesure involves lots of bullshit paperwork, costing the health care system thousands to tens of thousands. but it's still a big cost saving to the public health care system overall
