In your opinion, is it worth starting with the original Monster Hunter on PS2 and then playing the next ones? I once played the Monster Hunter demo on the 3DS, and for me, it was unplayable. The 3DS controller is not suited for this type of game, and the graphics were too pixelated.

The egg quests in Monster Hunter 1 are insufferable.

Then you will hate ps2 version even more. Better start with MHGU on Switch or Rise on PC or even better older games on emulator

Monster Hunter 3 is a better place to start with. 3 is completely accessable. It takes a bit to get into any Monster Hunter. Most hate it at first

Also the demos are always shit and massively inflate the monsters health while giving you shit gear. I always hated the demos too when I was younger.

i will play ps2 version on emulator
Or you could play MH3U or 4U (too much climbing) on borked3ds emulator with your pc gamepad, use your phone as a 2nd screen for inventory with crafting, there are also HD texture mods.
Borked3ds 2025 02 14 16 31 55
Borked3ds 2025 02 14 16 30 21
3U is also less annoying to set up since it never disabled emulated pro gamepad for me while 4U did it every single time i launched the game

2025 02 23 20 15 00
2025 02 23 20 19 28
2025 02 23 20 20 37
You will emulate MH3U and be happy

lol no they're kinda boring and clunky. Start at freedom unite it's a polished old mon hun.
