It's incredible how modern man seemed to have lost all balance and is unable to find a healthy middle way. Modern man is either soft as butter or hard as stone. Hard as stone towards the one who suffers but then crying rivers of sadness at his funeral. Or some groups of people who are only of these extremes: either heartlessly hard (right-wingers) or neutered and soft (left-wingers). Just look at how people talk about borders and refugees! Either hard as stone or soft as butter. There is no healthy, stable middle ground left. It's sad.
