Modern game consoles have poor quality

My old consoles have more durability than any new console I've bought. My PS3 controller works perfectly fine with no stick drift. My Wii numb chuck is now 15 years old and has never drifted once. My new 3ds just turned ten and works like a dream.

Meanwhile I've had three Xbox controllers drift. Switch obviously is a poorly made POS that breaks from simply existing. I don't own a PS5 but I assume the drift is bad on it too.

It's very obvious that modern hardware is built worse in general. Always buy third party controller with hall sticks

Switch 2 won't be any better. Nintendo knows they can shit out absolute rubbish and consumers will gobble it up

better display, better joycon magnetic grip, faster game load time.

its the best option for workout games, and VNs.

The current gen consoles, except for Switch, are actually build well.
I have looked at all teardowns.
The release PPS5 had one issue, the VRAM getting very, VERY hot.
There are revised versions but I don't knoww whether the cooling has been improved.
The power consumption is lower.
The PS5 slim consumes even less while delivering the same performance.

The Series S ist very easy to teardown and clean and it has a nice big cooler.
Runs cool and quiet, but sadly all digital. I would have bought the Series S with a disc drive.

The Series X is complicated to disassemble, but well build also.
Great cooling. It too stays cool and quiet.

Same goes for all xbox one versions.
I personally prefer the one S for its efficiency and the One X for it's easy maintenance.

But the controllers from all of them suck. Collegues of mune own a PS5 and the controllers get stick drift fast.

I still own my PS1 with the OG controller.
Dual Shock Analog controller. I have two and both work to this day.
Only a button got stuck every once in a while.
I'd open it, get it unstuck and continue playing.
