Using citra emualotr or different and have trying incrasing the graphics by emualtor setting ornis that too demanding
I'm using Lime3ds since Citra is now dead. 1440p resolution, Downloaded MH4U HD 2.6 mod but it was not enough since that clown haven't modified the most important textures that are of the environment (he did for some but not the ones that you see instantly as you load into the game or the first map)
Now it's time to work on
might test my laptop on mh4u citra
Lowered size of those ai upscaled textures by 20%, removed old config and they finally started to work so maybe you really need to compress them.

1 i haven't played a lot was mostly just messing around doing quests and fixing emulator and setting things up
i have no idea if you can replace models
