CDC data demonstrates that men account for over 76% of suicide deaths in the United States each year. The CDC also found that there are 3.3 male suicide deaths for every female suicide death.

Gender Paradox in Suicide: Men, Women & TGD Differences
Research shows women attempt suicide 1.5 times more than men, yet men account for more deaths. Uncover why this paradox persists.

And in fact, it has always been this way:

Suicide death rates by gender U.S. 1950-2022 | Statista
The suicide rate among men in the United States is over 3.5 times higher than that of women. Since the 1950s men have had a higher suicide rate than women.

Furthermore, Ansara and Hindin (2010) found that male victims were less likely than women to disclose their victimization or seek assistance if the violence was relatively minor or less severe. Additionally, male victims may perceive their victimization as minor, even if such abuse falls under the category of severe violence or high controlling behavior (Dixon et al., 2022).
Concerning the treatment of male victims in the courts, respondents reported how their female partners engaged in legal and administrative abuse, including making false allegations (Theme 3), and these cases are similar to the findings in other qualitative studies (Cook, 2009; Lysova et al., 2020; Morgan & Wells, 2016; Tilbrook et al., 2010) and also quantitative studies (Hines et al., 2015). It was concerning to hear about men’s experiences with losing custody of their children resulting from the female partners’ use of legal and administrative abuse (second subtheme of Theme 3). A study of families experiencing parental separation revealed that 76.5% of the child’s custody was given to the mother compared to 6.5% given to the father (Juby et al., 2005). This fact could influence how men and women in child custody and divorce proceedings may perceive their chances of success.

Queens also started more wars than men:
But apparently, they were. In fact, between 1480 and 1913, Europe’s queens were 27% more likely than its kings to wage war, according to a National Bureau of Economics working paper(paywall). And like Isabella, queens were also more likely to amass new territory during their reigns, found the paper’s authors, economists Oeindrila Dube and S.P. Harish.

Throughout history, queens were more likely to wage war than kings
And they won more territory too.

In the United States, there were far more occupational injury deaths among men than women. In 2023, there were 4,832 male occupational injury deaths in the United States, compared to 447 deaths among women.

The movement quickly spread around the country and gained notoriety in the press for their actions. Women in various locations took it upon themselves to hand out white feathers in order to shame those men who were not fulfilling their civic duties and obligations. In response to this, the government was forced to issue badges for those civilian men who were serving in jobs contributing to the war effort, however many men still experienced harassment and coercion.
