tall starts at 2 standard deviations above the mean height. 1 sd for whites is 2.8-3 inches. if the average height in one's area is say 5'11 then (lets round up sd to 3 inches) tall in that area is 5'11 + 6 inches (2 sd) = 6'5. If the average height is 5'9 then its around 6'3, etc. in reality you want to be at least 2.5 sd taller than the average height, because even 2 sd is not enough. at 2 standard deviations 2.3% of men will be taller than you. and let me tell you - 2.3% is no joke, especially if you live in a populated area. you will get heightmogged every other minute in city centre for example. 3 sd or death in 2025
