Stupid people act on instinct.
Midwits act on dogma.
This is what makes midwits the most governable and compliant group. So long as you frame anything within the bounds of "science" or are sophistic enough in terms of moralfaggotry, you will as the powers-that-be, have complete control over the masses. High IQs will always question the media, government etc. Low IQs will always work on instict above what they are told to do. Midwits will always comply so long as their orders are presented with the surface sheen of logic and/or morality.
Not only this, but midwits provide the least value to society. High IQ people are able to become great engineers, inventors, innovators. High IQs are the ones that enabled all of the great technological and cultural innovations. Low IQ people are able to provide the labourous jobs. Midwits are unable to innovate, and also suck at manual labour becuase they think they are above it, so most midwits end up in management jobs and office jobs that basically provide nothing to anyone other than giving people employment. Midwits demand huge pay for easy and/or pointless work, because they realise that they are too fucking stupid to ever do anything worthwhile that is actually worth paying them more.
What is incredibly frustrating about midwits is how much they play into the dunning-kruger effect. A midwit will think he knows anything and will act extremely obtusely to hide the fact that his "knowledge" is as deep as the skin on an apple. Midwits don't like science, they like popsci articles. Stupid people are at least not pretentious, and are not subject to falling into the pit of dunning-kruger.
