Mewing is all based off anecdotes which are worthless without objective data. When debating the efficacy of any esoteric paradigm challenging things like this, anecdotes are worthless without objective data. Because people can and frequently imagine things when there’s actually nothing.
Even photos are worthless because not a single person can seem to manage to get consistent conditions. And don’t link me to any PSL user’s results, morphing is extremely common In Lookism, not to mention that I can simply retrude my mandible on purpose and say that this is how I looked like before mewing.
Considering Mike Mew himself has never shown any satifying results leads me to think that the fuzz going on about mewing is nothing but bullshit. Look up Mike Mew’s mother, it’s where he has gotten his jaw, which is GENETIC, not from “mewing”.
Some may “see” changes but in reality, it’s just the placebo effect. There has been many case studies done on the placebo effect and it’s real, you think that something is happening to you when in reality it’s not. Take drugs for example, if we take a glass of water and everyone pretends that they’re getting drunk off of it and everyone dedicates to convincing you that it’s “making you drunk” then you’ll FEEL drunk.
And quite honestly, Mike Mew has no credibility to me when he has said THIS:
What was his counter-argument? Yeah, that better looking men are those with slightly flat maxillas, completely unrelated and out of subject.
I believe that Mike Mew is just conducting an experiment on the placebo effect and everyone is going down with it.
TL;DR : mewing doesn’t work.
