Reminder that men suffer from mental illness at a much higher rate than women but rarely get help. (I remember in high school the administration called a doctor for a few edgy emo girls, but the poor outcast who offed himself clearly was never looked at twice)

You must get your own help! If you are suffering please call a suicide hotline or talk to an online friend. I have been dealing with crippling depression and very strong suicidal thoughts recently. venting makes me feel a bit better.

i saw a therapist for 2 years (along with a psychiatrist). DIdn't help at all. I just need a fucking girlfriend nothing more nothing less.

Im actually not even sure if men get it more than women. Its just that for a depressed woman, support is usually there. For a depressed man, support is either denied because he is expected to be manly (if he is high status) or unavailiable due to nobody giving a shit about him (if he is low status).
