Once i talked to my grandparents about how life was back then. They lived in germany, saw the rise of hitler and nazi germany, experienced ww2, the aftermath and everything until now. Basically back in the day most people were poor as fuck and peasants or factory workers and occasionally some local craftsman. The horizon of these kind of people were their village and maybe the villages or city arround you because travelling back then was for the rich. Your dating area and pool was pretty limited. There were no dating apps back then people met at the market square or some folk festival. People couldn't be that choosy they had to take that what was in their area. Also in that time women were judged less for how good they look but rather how good they could cook, do their houshold and how they acted in public. Men were judged if they could provide and if they were manly or strong, being a good feminine looking fuckboy like justin bieber was a death sentence for you back then. It was enough if one man worked and he could provide for his family of six children with his salary alone. There were 3 generations of people living in under one house, everyone hold together and they helped each other. The family of today is gone and totally broken. How can children be raised good if both parents have to work today?
