It’s easy to scream that looks don’t matter when you’ve never been overlooked, ignored, or ridiculed because of them. The “what is beautiful is good effect” (also known as pretty privilege, lookism, the halo effect) is real, and young men are acknowledging it. That’s not whining, that’s reality. Denying men’s lived experiences and reducing them to “creepy vibes” because they had the nerve to be honest about their pain… that’s wrong. Not every guy struggling with attraction or loneliness is some toxic hateful jerk. Some are just hurt.
