There is only so hard that they can tax lower income people, because if those lower income people don't have enough money to get shelter and food, the state will face much bigger problems than whether to give big pay raises to state employees that year.

The mistake previous generations of men made is that they humored women when women made it clear they don't respect them as "playing hard to get" and "hitting on them". And they kept working hard and going above and beyond anyway.

Exactly. It's misdirection to suggest it's either life as a monk or a try-hard wagecuck when a medium between the two exists.

That's why not directly related to this topic, when I see people talking about things like how real mgtow don't even post online and live like monks I find it to be a false dichotomy between an extroverted hardworking NT social life and a reclusive monk that lives with very little necessities and shows how much people are obsessed with the idea that men have to live meaningfully and productive in some way or form. I believe this false dichotonomy is influenced by media hyping trends of extreme lifestyles for clickbait views because it looks strange to normies and movies where the main character has it all but chooses to voluntarily leave it all behind to seem deep and open to new experiences.
