This is my 8 year old membrane keyboard i bought in 2018.
Now, recently defective in a few letters and numbers ( 0,P,-,+ this whole region has been rendered useless for some reason )
However, it does still work, even showing the vivid red LED stripes, but it sucks that now it is showing it's age (inward, not outward)
I've kept it in good care.

Got a Logitech spare, even older than this keyboard for situations like this, obviously it wasn't used as hard.

Always had mechanical

Get a Unicomp Customizer 104-105 new model M keyboard as it’s the direct successor to the greatest mechanical keyboard of all time the IBM Model M and has been rebuilt and modernized with new internal parts and molds but slightly cheaper case to keep the price down.

Mechanical keyboards always for me for my serious main keyboard.

Cheap logitech 10$ keyboard

Does it have USB 2.0 to connect in a Windows XP SP3?
That's what this one had!
Otherwise its useless for me.

Only thing is don’t get any water or drink droplets in it as it will short out that section of the board.

You can repair it yourself if you have the know how and a replacement membrane or if not send it in to Unicomp for a pricey repair.

Other than that small negative it’s a great keyboard but yeah if you’re looking for immunity to liquid spills shitty rubber dome cheap and easily replaceable keyboards win everytime and not because you have to get rid of them after a spill usually since most I’d not all of them are engineered to shrug that off and either never stop working ie they don’t short out or they might start working once again once they’re fully dried out.

Well no shit!
Never spill your coffee.
But does this keyboard you mentioned has USB 2.0 compatibility?

You can select usb or ps/2 connector before checkout brother.

It’s been modernized so either works with both or maybe only works with usb now but make sure before you check out.

I haven't used a membrane keyboard in 10+ years, mechanical is far superior.

Membrane keyboards are softer clicking, without the rough mechanical noise.
Its easy to see and hear.
In the spare deck, i also have a cheap mechanical keyboard and it aint that clicking-feelin-good sort of thing, as compared to my ancient Logitech.
I do care about longevity in hardware, and shitty keyboards come in all forms.

I enjoy the firmer clicking feel, and louder noise from the mech keyboards. Each to their own, if you don't like that then stick to membrane ig.

I wish the one in the Op was still up for sale ... [NEW]

membrane all the way
i sense some mass psychosis, a hype beast wave to scam tech bros for 200$ for a 10$ peripheral
mechanical keyboard doesnt actually pose a single advantage other than being obnoxiously loud
i almost went pro in an fps game in a 7 euro mechanical keyboard from a random store

I always had membrane. Good thing because I never, ever clean it.

Yeah, i dont get why anyone would invest in having slower times in video games due to the unseemly raise of your wrists, and this uncanny valley feeling that you got a shittier keyboard, compared to a non-mechanical one.
I have used a mechanical keyboard, and i couldn't be totally into the game, because i had to be looking where i might screw up in the keyboard, plus the clicky fucking noise!
Redditors defend this looney shit.

If it ain't broke, dont fix it.
But clean with a cloth & alcohol once in a while.

honestly feels like some kind of autism-friendly trigger to have the clicking noise, and the product consooooomer satisfaction/elitism of having a more expensive thing. I had a mechanical keybaord myself, I won it in a raffle, I gave it to my brother for free cause i disliked it

I have a scissor switch keyboard, like laptops. I had expensive mechanical keyboards before and I always bottomed them out. This one is a usb 2.0 wired and an extra usb on the bottom for mouse dongle for wireless mouse or wired mouse. I can bottom out in this no problem and I type faster.

Thats thin, Are there any fatter button ones that has like that pillow cushion for the arm so it doesnt hurt from prolonged gaming sessions? My razer keyboard came with a pillow. V3 niggerwidow, I cant play without that or my hand hurts.

But i thought autistic people hated obnoxious noise lol
I think it is the soyboy nintendo thing getting activated in the missing front lobe!

Looks good for comfortably typing an entire book from scratch, but not for video games. It needs a light lift in the key buttons, and that keyboard has a short lifespan by the chinky looks of it.
And too thin like previous poster said.

They make this

Can’t vouch for it though never used it.
But since scissor switch mechanism are so thin keyboards tend to be thin. You could also buy a separate pad.

Depends how long and thick and width the pad is sideways and upwards and if it fits and is not too low or too high.

It’s a niche product, I have already tried mechanical keyboards and also membrane and did not like them so I went with scissor switches with the requirement that it’s a wired keyboard so no battery issues later. Its build quality is pretty good actually, the cable is thin that is my only complaint they use these at offices so they are quite too. Also there is no software for this to customize macros or lighting that forces you to make accounts. It’s just the most standard plain keyboard.

I'm a mechanical keyboard snob now

I bought a 100% barebones keyboard base that I equipped with Baby Kangaroo 2.0s. Very nice feel and sound.
