A friend of mine wants to meet up with me after a while of us not speaking with each other. I know that he has a girlfriend now and also a job. I have neither of those. We have known each other for a very long time but we now lead very different lives. Of course, I'll still meet with him but he might just be doing it out of pity since he now has a much bigger friend group and can hang out with more popular, attractive, and interesting people.
