Someone here sent me a link to some redditors making fun of my post. Out of boredom I decided to read the comments and was greeted by typical braindead sheep arguments. Notably someone said that I'm stupid for glorifying and relating to Private Pyle from Full Metal Jacket because of "muh media literacy."
Media literacy is one of the most retarded buzzwords redditors and proggy cucks use. They unironically believe that anyone who doesn't agree with the creator or react as they intentioned is " media iliterate." No, I fully understand the creators intentions you dumb twat. I understand the message. However I don't care and relate to and interpret a character differently than the creator. That's calls being a free thinker. You're not a media literate high IQ genius for copying what someone says on something they created.
As an example let's say you're watching a movie and the main character inevitablly causes other characters to die out of a poor decision. However let's also say the director and writers didn't think it out thus it's never referenced and the main character is glorified. Someone isn't "media illiterate" for viewing this character in a negative light.
Besides that I doubt Stanley Kubrick of all people intended for Private Pyle's actions to be objectively morally bad. If you know anything about Stanley Kubrick you'll know he wasn't a moral fag. So no, I'm not "media illetrate" for believing a character who was discriminated against by a cruel system was justified in taking action.
