Someone here sent me a link to some redditors making fun of my post. Out of boredom I decided to read the comments and was greeted by typical braindead sheep arguments. Notably someone said that I'm stupid for glorifying and relating to Private Pyle from Full Metal Jacket because of "muh media literacy."

Media literacy is one of the most retarded buzzwords redditors and proggy cucks use. They unironically believe that anyone who doesn't agree with the creator or react as they intentioned is " media iliterate." No, I fully understand the creators intentions you dumb twat. I understand the message. However I don't care and relate to and interpret a character differently than the creator. That's calls being a free thinker. You're not a media literate high IQ genius for copying what someone says on something they created.

As an example let's say you're watching a movie and the main character inevitablly causes other characters to die out of a poor decision. However let's also say the director and writers didn't think it out thus it's never referenced and the main character is glorified. Someone isn't "media illiterate" for viewing this character in a negative light.

Besides that I doubt Stanley Kubrick of all people intended for Private Pyle's actions to be objectively morally bad. If you know anything about Stanley Kubrick you'll know he wasn't a moral fag. So no, I'm not "media illetrate" for believing a character who was discriminated against by a cruel system was justified in taking action.

Leftists are obsessed with control, especially over how people think and see the world, and they often like to mask their beliefs behind objective reasoning. "Media literacy" is just one of many tools they use to enforce their narrative of reality and shame others for not subscribing to their dogma.

“Media literacy” is actually a code word used by pedophiles to identify each other

yeah common issue, they think that things are just obvious, like movie meanings, symbols etc.
It's funny because they accuse others of doing the same shit, but then are incapable of mentally leaving their own worldview and idk, consider like a society where rape is a moral virtue or something.

The meaning is obviously not inherent in the movie or symbol they are discussing. Protestants also do this giga hard when looking at 2000 year old bible passages translated like 10 times from aramaic, greek, hebrew latin into elizabethean english into modern english as "obvious" MUH KING JAMES 1612 IN ELIZABETHEAN ENGLISH ONLY

Normies constnatly call this out and shit and make fun of it but then think that a symbol like "卍" has one meaning, and one meaning only, and its clearly evil. In some countries, like germany, its even banned.

Word-concept fallacy falls under this umbrella where they assume a word can only have one referent. One word = one meaning in their head. If someone says like "national socialism" it must be refering to the 1930s german version and necessarily entaill everything associated with that right?
They ignore that spain was natsoc until like the 70s when franco died and shit and there were like 12 different versions of that political ideology in europe alone. Like, the natsoc version of romania was based on orthodox chrisitanity if I remember correctly, compeltely different viewpoint.

All of this is even more hilarious because normies also constantly tell you to be "balanced" and have "nouance" in your opinion, but then judge things in extreme black and white terms whenever it suits them. Incels = evil, for example. Incels having a point or being at least partially right... impossible!

Also, to say that your opinion always has to be balanced and nouanced is an extreme position you retards, it is literally a totalitarian absolute claim, or it would not be true. This is not even mentioning that the spectrum of what is extreme and not extreme is yet again arbitrarily defined by them and then enforced through violence. It is laughable honestly.

I have a friend who has been jokingly arguing with redditors for 2 years now, about how ramsay bolton in game of thrones is actually not morally evil. If you dont know - he tortures a guy and supposedly cuts his willie off and then "rapes" a foid.

- the books never directly say he did any of that, but normies just go ITS OBVIOUS AND YOU ARE PSYCHO
- in that scenario "rape" is not that big of a deal socially
- you could easily reframe the whole thing to paint the good people evil, you just need 1% of imagination, which they dont have

People take their values or the current cultural values for granted and think values are "progressing" - towards what? what is the magical standard for morality you are appealing to? And where is it from? If there is no standard, there is no progress towards anything.
But this is getting too far into the shit with this.

That's all beyond their reasoning. The supposed nuance thinkers don't really understand the meaning of nuance or most words they use in general. They use the words to get social validation and approval because they heard figures of authority using the same words.

I bet your friend was banned off reddit for being a rapist sympathizer by the moral thugs.

I avoid discussing history with normies because they're always completely ignorant of it. If you explain to them that the swastika has a history that goes beyond national socialists they'll massively sperg out and assume you're a "nazi."

It's like you said. They view everything in black and white tribalistic terms and are always looking for conflict.

Idk if it's just leftists. I'd say normies in general are obsessed with authority and there being an objective authority over everything. Hence why critics in general are so popular. Also why normies call you juvenile for expressing an original opinion and not copying some dead old man.
