Me vs Chad friend

I used to have a chadlite friend, who was extremely attractive to most foids in HS.
The guy self-taught himself guitar and got to be the local rock star of some sorts.
He was my best friend for 8 years, and our relationship looked like the duo of walking encyclopedia (his gf called me that numerous times), and the popular rock-star dude.
He was a failure academically, but when he finally acquired an interest on abstraction/academia, he begun expressing subtle envy towards me...which ended up escalating , with me breaking away from our friendship, and him verbally insulting me , calling me a narcissist,stupid, and that I'll forever remain virgin.

I dont know what to make of this....was there even a spec if truth in his words? Or was he simply motivated by his ego being broken ..

It frustrates them when they don't find things easy because they aren't used to it. For Chad: respected by adults? Check. Easy to make friends? Check Easy to find relationships? Check. Easy to get a decent job? Check. Not falling into addiction? A bit harder. Being outmanoeuvred in the workplace? A bit harder. etc.
