I think I had an infected ear and I thought I had hearing loss in one ear. I put iodine in there and it worked for the infection and I could hear again, also I put a small bit of hydrogen peroxide every so often to clear them out.
The "hearing loss" lasted almost a year too before I tried something, I just accepted that I could barely hear out of my right ear
