Mass Effect 2 is overrated

I'm Replaying it and it's basically unplayable. Non-stop cutscenes, non-stop talking, non-stop loading screens, I just want to shoot fucking bad guys. It was enjoyable the first time but not anymore since there's so much shit slowing you down from actually playing the game. Plus conversations suck since renegade in ME2 isn't anywhere as evil as ME1's. What do you guys think?

Without a doubt the best Mass Effect game. Although I do like the gameplay in ME3 and have over 300 hours in the multiplayer.

I think Mass Effect 2 is the type of game that it is amazing the first time playing as you are playing blind and don’t know what to expect, however for additional playthroughs it loses it magic

Understandable. I don't know if I'd say codification, but I would say it was a gears rip off. The multiplayer is a lot better than the main game to be honest.

It definitely does. First playthrough I thought the combat was good, now I think it's pretty mediocre. If you don't take the Meta on insanity the whole game turns into a boring fucking slog. Example is you're basically forced to taking Miranda on every mission since she can handle shields, armor, barriers, and stun enemies with slam. She's just too versatile and if you want to bring another squadmate to hear different dialogue, it puts you at a severe disadvantage.

I'd suggest playing the Legendary Edition of Mass Effect 1. The original 2008 version is extremely jank. The Newer version makes it a lot better.

Also don't be afraid to look up a walkthrough on the citadel. The game basically throws a large maze at you in the beginning of the game.

The entire trilogy is solid, especially when you compare it to modern slop. We had no idea it was going to get this bad. We need to appreciate the good older games, we may never get something like that again.

It's just in the beginning. I hated it too, almost quit but I'm glad I didn't and just pushed through it. Just follow the sign directions and don't worry about taking the side missions at first.
