my family paid for my brother's wedding while his wife didn't pay for anything.
about 4 years after they married she started arguments that ended with her kicking him out of the house because she feels unsafe. he had to live with me for a while during one of these episodes.
soon after that my mom told me how she talked to both of them to try and resolve the conflict, and found out they have stopped banging each other and no longer sleep in the same room.
later his wife actually left for a few months and lived in a different apartment, while my brother paid her rent, this is called being "estranged" btw.
now they are back together again and she is acting like a "kindly granny" and like nothing ever happened.
