The manga is pretty good you can't expect much deep plots or dark themes from a shonen. Thing is MAPPA turned it into some animation flex which normfags cum over. It's the same deal with every shonen now. These new fag mangaka are heavily Western influenced. It’s not the foid characters that bug me. I like the Fate franchise, Steins;Gate, and NGE. It’s foidifying the traditional male roles that does.

They try to make the anime too cinematic like it's a Christopher nolan movie when chainsaw man is supposed to be like a b horror movie. The director fundamentally misunderstands the manga and so does the audience. But normal FAGS get upset if you criticize the show. I rather watch Jujutsu Kaisen than this. It's not just the main villain, it's most villains in that manga in general.

Which is honestly one of the better things about it. I'm personally tired of foids always being worshipped in fiction and almost never being villains (and when they are, they get redeemed or made sympathetic, instead of just being offed), with villains in like 80% of fiction instead being ugly incels or normies at most who threaten foids, and then get moved down by the HTN and Chad heroes who fuck those foids after. I don't need more fiction where guys I find relatable get killed by sexhavers, I'd much rather see guys like me mow down female villains and be praised for it.

I've read the whole first part and through bit of part 2 and just though it was ok. Nothing special, yet they praise this manga as if it were holy grail.

You create one slightly unique shounen with a relatable sexless simp protagonist with goonerbait main villains (both part 1 and 2) and you get a recipe for success I guess. Crazy how the things I was interested most about Chainsaw Man which were the primal devils were a complete disappointment except Darkness Devil.
