Why are there still so many people who believe that the man has to bring in the money for the whole family and the woman only has to do the housework - in other words, why do they still cling to the old gender roles?
What I always ask myself, especially to those who are in favour of this tradition: Do you not give a shit about a higher standard of living or what's going on?

Unless the man earns his 8k alone, then I can understand it. But 99.99% don't.
So I really wonder if people get so excited about the fact that only one parent goes to work, but disregard a much higher lifestyle.
More holidays, a nicer house/flat, better education for the child, etc.

Wages go down because now there are more people looking for the same jobs, which minimizes the demand. Less demand equals lower pay offers from employers.

Hypergamy goes up because women prefer men that are above them (taller, stronger, richer, prettier). So when they enter the workforce and start making money, 50% of men become less attractive to them because they are making less money.

Also, women cheat more in the office. Women are more promiscuous out there than in the household. You need a woman in the household to take proper care of the child (or do you expect him/her to be raised by babysitters?)

Paleoconservatism is the way. Women are mediocre professionals who have nothing meaningful to contribute, so they should be at home doing what they do best: child rearing and homemaking.
