Police: Murder-suicide at Kalihi care home leaves husband and wife dead
HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - A murder-suicide at a Kalihi care home on Thursday afternoon left a husband and wife dead, police said.
It wasn’t immediately clear who pulled the trigger.
But authorities say patients were inside the licensed residential care home when at least three shots were fired.
The shooting happened about 2:40 p.m. Thursday at a home near the intersection of School Street and Kamehameha IV Road.
A family member who was in the home called 911.
When police arrived, the man was already dead while the woman died a short time later at the hospital.
Officers have secured the property and detectives are en route. Adult Services has also been dispatched to help the displaced patients.
