After Ruttie and Jinnah separated, Ruttie suffering from Postpartum depression, moved into a suite at Bombay's Taj Mahal, leaving Jinnah home alone with his eight-year-old child. she passed away in 1929, just a year after giving birth, while visiting Paris with her mother.
