Well, every generation is going to idolise their childhood. But for me, I'm glad I grew up in the 90s: this was just before technology, mobile phones, and the internet kicked off in a big way. I can't even begin to comprehend what is must be like for an uggy or even non-conformist kid to grow in a world of social media and smartphones.

Can you imagine being the only kid in a class without a FB account? Or not only getting beaten down by your bullies, but your humilation filmed and uploaded onto YT for the whole world to see and laugh at years later? Sometimes I feel lucky for being an oldcell, there's no way I would've made it this far growing up in that sort of environment.

I was still a high school kid, playing playstation 2, watching dvds, playing on the streets for hours with my friends, there wasn't any facebook, or this social media bullshit. Everyone had a nokia, that was only for call/messaging use, now everyone is fake as fuck and obbessed with social media popularity.
