The last 2 months, I started becoming addicted to gambling. In a short period of time, I won a lot of money from playing a single game on slot machines using a specific strategy. For 9 days straight, I won at least 300$ daily, sometimes more than 1000$. But it didn’t last long, I lost everything and even more than what I’ve won. I should have known it better, you can’t beat the house in the long run, everyone knows that..

There’s one exception though. Poker. It is the only game, where people actually win long term and therefore don’t have to work. It is also the only game, where you don’t play against the casino, but against other players. I now started and it’s working so far, I made about 250$ profit in one week.
Do you think it can work? I would like to hear your honest opinions and experiences. (I am playing Texas Hold‘em only).

This is kinda a lounge discussion, but yeah it can work. The only problem is that you have to get used to becoming a grinding fold-cel. At that point it takes so long that some people wouldnt consider it worth it. You will get bored and not think properly. You will eventually chase a big pot, thinking your pocket aces will be good enough. You will lose. You will hate yourself and poker.

Online poker is rigged. One online poker site had a scandal where they made a backdoor so they could join games and the cards would be rigged so they win. I forget the name. IRL poker isn't rigged though.

I get that feeling sooo many times, but most people that make a living out of playing poker play online so idk bro. I lost a party of my bankroll past days and it felt like you said, but could be bad beats.
