We're propagandized all the time to get enough sleep, drink alcohol in moderation, eat nutritious foods, watch our weight, exercise, practice yoga or meditation to manage our anxiety and so forth.

In other words, the health scolds want us to take care of ourselves.

But when it comes to dating, incels are told to "lower your standards," as if our standards are arbitrary and negotiable, and they have no connection with our real needs and well being.

Like the advice that we should date the fat girls, even though ironically we're told that it will help us to develop good health habits by spending time with people who are already disciplined about doing that. Perhaps we prefer to date girls with a healthy weight instead because we want to find lovers who reflect and support what we are doing with our own bodies.

In effect incels are told the equivalent of saying that we should eat junk food, stay up all night, not exercise, drink too much alcohol, sniff glue and engage in other forms of self-mistreatment.

Continue to do menial labor, find innovations but don’t partake in what makes life worth living or enjoyable.
