In order to be marketable you have to pander to chads and normies as well 
Non-chad actors very rarely become full professional actors. Acting in loser-movies is only a small part of their job. They still need to look good for not-loser-movies. Non-chad actors don't get enough experience in their jobs.

Michael Cera and Jonah Hill are just 2 guys. One of them has made awkwardness his trademark. The other was hugely obese and has lost a good amount of weight and looks good now. But even so, there are much more young, successful chad actors than non chad.

That's an exact reason why i've stopped enjoying anime. Even so-called loser protags are always depicted as good-looking and shy mentalcels. Meanwhile irl, LVM are often lowinhibmaxxed, NT, but due to subhuman facial bones, actively despised by general public.
